Who Says You Don’t Have a Social Life After Children?

After years of bemoaning the fact that my 7 year old nephew boasted a busier social calendar than I did, I’m happy to say that I’m going to a party! That’s right, it’s a blog party hosted by 5MinutesForMom. So before I head over there, let me welcome you to my digs.

I’m part-time software developer, full-time wife and overtime mom to a beautiful baby boy who I like to call Pumpkin. Hard to believe but he’s getting ready to turn one this Friday! I am pretty new to blogging but I hope you’ll drop back by for another visit soon. I love being a mom and started blogging after I realized how much I benefited from visiting other mommyblogs; it’s nice to know that others share your concerns, your hopes and your neuroses!

Working part-time, I straddle the divide between the stay-at-home moms and the work-outside-the-home moms so I get the joys and struggles of both sides…day care, time management struggles, playgroups, etc. So come back for another visit and I’ll share with you my experiences as I try to figure out this whole mommy-thing! Leave me a comment and let me know how you balance everything in your extremely busy life as a mom. After that, let’s party-hop!

Your son is adorable. Have a great time with his birthday! I'm pretty much a SAHM, I work so little in my part time job and only when I can manage it around my husband's schedule. So I don't have any advice about managing the daycare etc schedule, but I think when you become a mom something just clicks and somehow you always make it work.

Welcome to the blog party! ;) I started out at #1 and went through #127... and then I realized that I was never going to get through all the links. :) So I started at the end (your link) and am working my way backwards a hundred or so... and we'll see after that!

Your lil pumpkin is so cute! I love this blog! I just starting blogging in Jan, so I'm pretty new myself. I used to have your template, only blue, so loved coming here to remember mine. I miss it somedays. Oh well. NICE PARTY! I plan on coming back to visit more! Hope you'll visit me :)

THanks for stopping by and visiting me. . . to answer your question, I never actually got to "work in the field" to the point I was paid. I did go on a 3 month dig in order to complete my degree back in 2002. It was so much fun and very educational. I'd love to get a Master's degree and even doctorate someday and work in the field, but that's a long way out. Gotta wait til the kids are raised, etc. Have a great day!

Saw your name on the party list. Like your blog! I too hate spiders. Our dog did the same thing once (I think it was a bee though)- now I find it very interesting why they never do these things in the mornings on a weekday so you can deal with it all during the day, not weekends and nights. Silly creatures. Hope you stop by my blog some time.
